The recession certainly hurts for everyone, whether young or old, but it’s also teaching media buyers and planners new things about the people they are trying to reach. While Millennials, those ages 18-29, are usually made out to be selfish and spoiled, some of them are approaching this economic downturn with perhaps more sanguinity than their elders.

Teen and Tween Media Behavior Differs
The Nielsen Company announced some of the findings of an in-depth study, "Kids on the Go: Mobile Usage by U.S. Teens and Tweens," on the mobile media and cross media behavior of U.S. "tweens" (ages 8-12), finding that 5% of tweens access the Internet over their phone each month.

'Educational' TV Falls Short, Study Says
How educational are children’s educational TV shows on commercial channels? Not very, suggests a new study by Children’s Now, which finds that only 1 in 8 programs listed by TV stations as “educational/informational” in fact offer education of “high quality.”
